8th National Teachers Science Congress

8th National Teachers Science Congress held at IISER PUNE. 250 papers from all over India presented here. 200 oral and 50 poster. Knowledgeable plenary sessions and wonderful activities were the attractions of the event. The grant IISER Campus was also attractive. 32 papers selected as special mentioned.
Dr. Mashelkar inaugurated the programme. The chief guest in the valedictory function was Prof. Madhav Gadgil.

3-day National Workshop on Science Communication and Science Journalism






Three day National Workshop on science communication, scientific awareness and  science journalism started 10th february 2015 at KM School of Marine Engineering, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi. Centre for Science Communication, CUSAT, Kochi and KSCSTE were the organisers. The function was inaugurated by the honourable Vice Chancellor Prof. J. Letha which was presided by pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Pulose Jacob. Dr. V Ajith Prabhu, JD, KSCSTE delivered the key not address. Prof Gireesh kumar (Dept of Chemistry), and Dr. K A Simon ( Director , KMEC, cusat) were felicitated the programme. Dr.. Anilkumar Vadavathoor (Director, Centre for science communication) given the welcome speech and Sri. Sureshkumar (Joint Director CSC)  the vote of thanks. Two Books 1. "Nattaraivum Kettrarivum"( A book about the traditional Knowledge) and 2. "Sathramezhuthu Malayalathil" ( Science writing in Malayalam) written by Dr. Anilkumar Vadavathoor were released in the function. About Hundred journalism students from Press Acadamey and Keltron were participated in the Workshop.
